Damnit, Firefox, why do you only crash when I’m blogging?!?
ANYWAY, as I was saying, although you’ll never know…
I’m been on the hunt for a few of
Hungry Girl’s favorite foods for a while
now. A few weeks ago, I located the
Tofu Shirataki
noodles at Whole Foods in St. Paul.
They had three noodle shapes; I bought the fettuccine and angel hair. They also
had regular spaghetti noodles, but I grew up eating angel hair pasta in my
spaghetti, so the thicker noodles just seem weird.

I’m not yuppie enough to shop at Whole Foods though (why do
the aisle have to be so narrow?!?), so fortunately I discovered (actually heard
from
Jen) that Super Target has them
too…but only the spaghetti kind. Oh well, I’ll make do!
Today I did some grocery shopping at the
Festival Foods in
Lexington/Circle Pines area (on Lake
Drive) because there were some good coups in the
circular. And there, I found La Tortilla Factory’s
Smart
and Delicious SoftWraps!

I had looked for these at Cub, Super Target, Rainbow, and
possibly Byerly’s and Whole Foods. They have a million grams of fiber (like 12)
and 100 cals, so they are only 1 point! I made a wrap for lunch with a salmon
packet, spinach, tomatoes, and some most definitely NOT low-fat veggie spread
from Festival (buy one, get a bag of carrots free!). So now I have a lot of
wraps in my fridge (also have some South
Beach).
Also, the weather today is PERFECT. If only it was like this
year-round! 65 degrees, a few clouds, a slight breeze…perfect for walking the
dog or sitting on the deck, working on my scarf. Here are some pictures so you
can pretend you are here!

the impatiens are still doing well!
Also, the Gophers beat Northwestern! 1-0 in the Big Ten,
huzzah.
Now I’m going to make another shirt for my volleyball team,
then make Pear Crumble to take to Jen’s for dessert (different Jen than link
above). She’s making a French Veggie Soup for dinner before we go to the
Minnesota Orchestra.
